Help, I can not connect to TFS!
TFSToGo leverages secure TFS web services and needs to be able to connect to your TFS server with appropriate credentials. When you save the application settings a test connection is made to validate that the server is available.
If an error is reported by the application read it carefully as it will give you an idea of what is causing the problem.
Your TFS server is probably not exposed to the internet and if you are not conneced to a corporate WiFi network you will need to establish a VPN connection. VPN settings can be configured via the iPhone's system settings. Unfortunatly iPhone applications can not automatically establish a VPN connection, so you must do so before launching TFSToGo.
If you are having trouble establishing a connection you should also verify your server settings with your TFS administrator.
The iPhone can sometimes experience problems resolving host names when connected via VPN so you may wish to use the direct IP address of your server.
Can TFSToGo damage my TFS Server?
TFSToGo leverages the built in TFS web services in a way which is consistent with other TFS tools. TFSToGo only retrieves build information from the server and does not invoke any methods which would alter the state of the system. To avoid unnecesssary calls to the server TFSToGo is designed to retrieve data from TFS only when neccesary.
